Anyone can run a hose over a dog. What sets our dog washing station apart is the care, the products and the finish. We start by selecting the right shampoo for your dog — a gentle, hypoallergenic option for sensitive skin, a deep-cleaning formula for Canterbury's muddiest winter adventurers, a brightening shampoo for white coats, or a medicated option when your dog's skin needs extra support.
Warm water at a comfortable temperature. Calm, gentle handling throughout. A generous conditioning treatment to restore moisture and make the coat easy to manage. Then comes the most important step — a thorough blow-dry that lifts loose undercoat, separates the topcoat, and gets right down to the skin. We finish with a full brush-out to remove any remaining loose coat and leave your dog's fur soft, shiny and tangle-free.
Why our dog wash is more than a bath
The professional blow-dry is the part most owners can't easily do at home — and it's where a great dog wash really shows. Our high-velocity dryers lift loose coat that ordinary towel-drying leaves behind, which means less shedding around your house for weeks afterwards. For double-coated breeds like huskies, retrievers and shepherds, this is the single most valuable thing you can do between full grooms.
We also use the wash as a health check. While we're working through your dog's coat, we'll spot any lumps, bumps, skin irritations or parasites that might need a vet's attention. It's not a substitute for veterinary care, but it's a useful extra set of eyes — and many owners first learn about a small issue from their groomer.
